
The Health Ministry Team (HMT) at Northside Community Church meets quarterly.
Members are Lisa W., Chris A., Janet V., Terri M. and Beverly B.
The HMT focuses on needs ot the NCC attendees.
The Health Ministry Team exists for the following purposes:
To work from a Biblical base to show compassion especially to those in the body with physical needs.
To develop a safe, welcoming environment within the church for those with special health-related problems:
...CPR and 1st Aid classes, exercise program
...Safe environment in our nurseries
To be attentive to NCC's health needs in the following ways:
...Blood Pressure Clinics
...Prayer for the health needs of NCC members
...Accompany NCC members, if requested, to health care facilities
To contribute to the building up of the NCC family through health education:
...health-education bulletin board in foyer
...baby gifts for new NCC mothers
...meals for new parents, meals for ill and needy families, meals for bereaved families
...hospital and health care facility visits and home visits when needed
To integrate NCC into the community programs that provide resources appropriate to our congregation's needs:
...Hospice Volunteers
...Pregnancy Walk
...Community Classes
...Puget Sound Blood Donors
...Consultation for good nutrition and weight concerns
Our Health Ministry Team includes 2 Registered Nurses, and three lay persons. We thank the Lord for each of them. We welcome suggestions for meeting the needs of those in our church family.
